Here we have a very nice Art Nouveau best nickel Silver plated Biscuit Barrel with beautiful green diamond cut crystal glass with a diamond star burst cut into the base. The barrel has a swing handle which is very sturdy and the metal fittings, lid, finial and collar are all best nickel silver plated. The full set of WMF marks are on the collar of the Barrel plus a further set of WMF marks are stamped on handle. Its a very substantial piece weighing 845 Grams, wonderful quality and superior craftsmanship as you would expect from one of the best metal companies in the World, WMF. Excellent condition very little silver lose if any, no dents or dints in the metal work and no scratches (Maybe some very light swirl marks). The crystal cut glass has no cracks or chips or scratches on the facial side or inside. The underneath contact side of the base has some very fine marks, obviously from the surface it was used on stored. This piece of WMF is 135 years old approximately and is in wonderful condition.
