A magnificent vintage English silver plated (on copper) gallery tray made by Viners of Sheffield – one of the top makers. Perfect for serving afternoon tea or pre-dinner drinks – all you need is a butler to carry it into your elegant drawing room! Oval in shape and measuring 18 x 12 inches. The deep, pierced rise & fall gallery rail has cutout grab handles at either end and the plateau is beautifully chased with a classic rococo pattern of flowers, leaves and scrolls surrounding a blank cartouche. It sits on four shallow domed feet. Very solid and weighty – truly excellent quality. Offered for sale in excellent vintage condition. It sits perfectly flat and the surface shows just the usual minor scratches and light signs of wear from use and polishing over the years – see photos. I sell a lot of these trays and this is a beautiful example that has obviously been used but well cared for. Freshly cleaned and polished to a nice bright shine. Will be very well packed. Towle Grand Duchess Vintage Silverplate 5 Pc Tea Coffee Set & Tray E. P6955 Oval

Treat your inner Downton Abbey aristocrat with this 5 pc, vintage, glimmering Towle Grand Duchess tea and coffee set that includes a coffee pot, tea pot, sugar bowl, creamer, and fabulous large oval Butler’s tray. The set is in sparkling good condition. There is a minor, shallow, 2 long, not really a dent, more like a waver in the tray, only visible in certain light (see pic). The coffee pot has a small dent on downward curve of base (see pic). There is some minor discoloring on the base of the interiors- could be removed with some more intense polishing with the right tool. Four-footed tray is 30.5″ long, 20″ and 3 tall and weighs 12 pounds. Coffee pot is 11.5″tall, 11.5″ wide. Tea pot is 10″ tall, 11″wide. Creamer is 5.5″ tall, 6″ wide. Sugar bowl is 8″ tall, and 8″ wide. The tray is stamped TOWLE E.

Beautiful, vintage, oval, silver plate serving tray, Chantilly by Gorham Silver Co. The tray has inlaid handles and has swags and scrolls at the high points along the rim and handles. This is a gorgeous and hard to find piece. Measurements: approx 27″ long x 19 1/2″ wide. The tray is in great, vintage condition. Has signs of use such as light surface scratches. No obvious damage I can see.
