Antique 19th Century rare and exceptional George IV Solid Silver Salver with cast border, impressively large size and extremely heavy gauge, of shaped-circular form on three impressive cast feet, with applied cast border depicting grapevine and flowers, the centre chased with scrolls and flowers and featuring an exceptional coat of arms for the Goldsmid family, probably for Sir Isaac Lyon Goldsmid, 1st Baronet, financier and one of the leading figures in the Jewish emancipation in the United Kingdom. Antique 19th Century exceptionally rare Burmese, Myanmar Solid Silver bowl, repousse’ decorated in high relief depicting different traditional scenes from the Burmese mythology, showing detailed figures set against a chiseled matted background in landscape. The top chased with scrolling bands and base decorated with a thick band of betel leaves. The quality of the bowl is simply sensational and very crisp. Base engraved with the deer makers mark for Maung Shwe Yon & Sons, Rangoon (see page 41, Wilkinson’s Indian silver). Maung Shwe Yon was one of the greatest master silversmiths active in Burma during the British colonial period. MSY died in 1889 and was succeeded by his three sons Maung Shwe Bin, Maung Thu Hlaing and Maung Yin Maung who would continue the family tradition, trading as the Maung Shwe Yon Brothers. This is not to cast shadow on his father who is undoubtedly responsible for setting up the most celebrated Burmese silver workshop and is also known to have participated in International exhibitions, including having displayed his silver at royal courts and now having his items displayed at the V&A museum. Vintage 1974 Winston Churchill Centenary Trust Solid Sterling Silver & Gold Plate Dish. In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of WINSTON S. CHURCHILL, Statesman and Historian, 1874 – 1965. The plate has a relief portrait of Sir Winston Churhill in 24 carat gold heavily plated onto polished solid sterling silver. It is fully hallmarked John Pinches Ltd, London, 1974. The plate is mounted in a blue velvet lined oak frame display case, which can be either wall or surface mounted. The plate has a diameter of 8 inch, the oak display frame measures 10 inch wide, 2 inch deep. The silver dish weighs a heavy 320 grammes. Truly a must-have for any Churchill collector. The plate is in excellent condition, when the plate was made a protective coating was applied to it, there are some tiny marks in places to this coating. The frame is in very good condition. The outer blue card box has some wear and tear with some black tape holding the corners together. Please view photos carefully as they form part of the description. Please view my other listings. The watch its in great working condition and it have nice size blue Sapphire on the bezel and you can see on the top part of the frame have few scratches as its not very noticeable but check it out in picture gallery please. It have all the important Cartier Halmark on the back of the watch as can be seen in picture gallery. Im sure the watch work with batteries and model its dated 1970s. The strap its in good use but it could be Chenged with a better strap. It is very difficult for me to open the back of the watch to take pictures but I guarantee it is a genuine Cartier watch.
