A VINTAGE RETRO LARGE WOODEN SERVING PLATTER FOR BEEF. THE DARK TEAK PLATTER HAS SILVER PLATED METAL IN THE FORM OF A BULL. THE HEAD TO ONE END AND RUMP AND TAIL TO THE OTHER. THE WOODEN TEAK PLATTER HAS A GROOVE RUNNING AROUND THE EDGE TO COLLECT THE JUICES. THE PLATTER HAS NEVER BEEN USED AND IS IN ITS ORIGINAL SHRINK WRAP SEALED. THERE IS A SILVER COLOURED LABEL WITH BLACK TEXT WHICH SAYS ORFEVRERIE ” PRESTIGE ” METAL ARGENTE MADE IN FRANCE. IT IS IN ITS ORIGINAL PRESENTATION BOX DECORATED WITH PARISIAN BUILDINGS IN A GOLD COLOUR. LENGTH 28 INS, WIDTH 13.5 INS AT WIDEST POINT, DEPTH 2 INS AT THE HEAD END. A SUPERB PRESENTATION PLATTER FOR THE SUMMER SEASON, BUFFETS AT WEDDINGS AND PARTIES. BUT CAN ALSO BE USED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR FOR ENTERTAINING. Antique Wooden Light Oak & Silver Plated Tea Caddy – Atkin Bros. A very fancy tea caddy, engraved/chased lid, top and bottom of the box is decorated in raised garlands and it sits on 4 ball feet. Marked with the Atkins plated stamp “ABS” as well as “LL” an old mark used by this company. I have included a number of photos and these probably describe the item better than I can and form part of the description. Condition: The box itself is structurally sound. The silver plating is tarnished or worn with scratches and marks. The area behind the hinge is really badly tarnished but it does come off to reveal a shiny metal underneath although this is not the case for the main part of the lid. Inside there is there is scratching. The shield has lost most of its plating. The front corners are very slightly bent over. There is no key and the lock is untested. Please also see photos. Size: 20.5cm by 13.5cm by 11cm high. Internal dimensions 16.3cm by 8.7cm by 9cm deep. I will try to answer questions as soon as possible, but this will normally be in the evening.
