Vintage Original Silver Plate Selmer Paris New Large Bore Super Alto, Serial #13689. This is a vintage Selmer Paris New Large Bore Super alto sax in satin silver, serial number 13689. The body of the sax is in beautiful condition showing off the burnished silver finish around the bell deco as well as the keys. Its bell flare also show cases a lovely gold wash. The body of the alto is about as nice as it gets with no history of major repair and no re-solders. Its bell, body tube, bow and bow cap are all in terrific shape. Its neck is also in excellent original condition and has never been pulled down. These early vintage Supers are fantastic free blowing players and tend to be warmer then the Balanced Action models that were made later. This one is currently playing down to a low Bb on older pads. If you are looking to do serious playing on the sax it will ultimately need to be re-padded. It is always a nice treat to find a silver Super in such nice condition. Vintage Hermes designer plated cedar lined box – a rectangular cigarette box with a gilt reindeer head mounted to the centre of the hinged lid, lined with a sectioned cedar lining – originally intended for cigarettes but perfect for cufflinks, trinkets, keys or as a coffee table box. Marked for Hermes Paris Made in France – total weight 670grms – overall dimensions 190mm length x 120mm width x 27mm height without head, 80mm height with head – c. Very good condition with very light surface scratches from normal use to the plate, some tarnish, could be further polished if so desired. Gilding still intact to reindeer head. Cedar lining in good condition with one small crack to top right of inner lid as pictured – lining is perfectly stable and does not affect intended use but mentioned for accuracy. Knives are in good condition, 2 dessert knives and 5 dinner knives with minor cracks on the horn (see last photos). Dolnet Paris Bel Air Tenor With High F# key. Made aprox 1965 ish. Original silver plate to body. Showing clear signs of wear and scratches and age. Some small dents and historic repairs and resolders. Recently serviced and regulated by Registered Namir tech. His business card included all work guaranteed. Pads in brown leather metal dome resos. My opinion follows which is not part of the description!! With the additional High F# key. This is one of the Dolnet’s great saxes. A deep bottom end. With the right mouthpiece this is a lively versatile and powerful sax. Sax plays great and one of my all time favourites. Very collectable and the prices are rising. This is rare with the high F# key. End of my opinion! With original silver plated neck plug. The photos are description. Will accept reasonable offers. This is an absolutely wonderful Art Deco style silver plate tea service consisting of a round tray, tea-pot with lid, sugar bowl with lid, and creamer with lid. The bottom of the tea-pot and the tray both maintain the original Escapade Paris label. They are a delightful design with curved upstanding handles. They are brass with silver plate and are in good vintage condition with no dents or dings; however, you can see brass showing through on the lip of the sugar and there are spots on the tray that did not seem to want to come off in cleaning.
