Vintage, silver plate, oval serving tray/ meat platter with well, King Francis by Reed and Barton. This is such a gorgeous piece. It has scroll, fruit and berry detailing all around the rim. Lovely addition to your table. Measurements:approx 19 1/4″ long x 13″ wide Marks: Reed And Barton 1674 King Francis. The tray is in good vintage condition. Has some visible scratches and cut marks as it is a meat tray, but looks better in person than in pictures as the camera picks up every flaw. Please Note:This listing is for the tray only. Measuring 24″ long, 16″ deep and 2 tall. Beautiful scrollwork lines the edges of this tray and Victorian-Era engraving cover the body. Vintage, large, silver plate, handled, footed, serving tray/ by Birmingham Silver Co in BIM18 pattern This tray is highly ornate with Chippendale edge, scrolled rim with beading and swooped feet. Such a gorgeous and solid piece. Use the zoom feature to see all the details. Measurements: approx 29″ handle to handle, 24″ without handles x 18 wide. Marks: BSC for Birmingham Silver Co. The tray is in good vintage condition. May show some signs commensurate of age and use such as light surface scratches, possible tarnish, polish residue or light wear. Some fading to the factory applied patina inside part of the etching where dark patina would typically be, but not very noticeable and certainly doesn’t detract from the tray’s beauty. No obvious damage I can see. My pictures aren’t doctored to hide flaws so please use photos as part of the description. My items are antique and vintage. It is 25″ x 15″ x 1.5 and stands on ornate feet and is very heavy. The scrolling is very well done and just beautiful. This tray was presented and engraved in 1974 by Graniteville Company and presented to an employee for many years service. The engraving is lightly done, not very noticeable and in the center and does not detract from the piece, it actually adds an interesting historic element to it. The Graniteville Company was one of the earliest and most successful textile manufacturing operations in the South, chartered in 1845. The company was unusual in that it did not use the labor of black slaves as was common at the time. After WWII the company pioneered the production of permanent press fabric. You’ll love this tray. A lovely English silver plated gallery tray made in Sheffield. Perfect for serving afternoon tea or pre-dinner drinks – all you need is a butler to carry it into your drawing room! Oval in shape, measuring 18 x 12 inches and standing roughly two and a half inches tall. The pierced rise-and-fall gallery rail has cutout grab handles at either end and the plateau is beautifully chased with a classic rococo pattern of scrolls and foliage. The tray is raised up on four ball & claw feet for that extra touch of grandeur. Offered for sale in very good vintage condition with no plate loss. It sits well and the surface shows the usual light scratches from use/polishing and some minor dents to the gallery – see photographs. The join in the rail is visible (see photo 7) but still very secure. Freshly cleaned and polished to a high shine. Will be very well packed. A truly magnificent vintage English silver plated gallery tray made by Parkin Silversmiths Ltd (PSL) of Sheffield. Perfect for serving afternoon tea or pre-dinner drinks – all you need is a butler to carry it into your elegant drawing room! Octagonal in shape, measuring 18 3/4 x 12 inches and standing roughly two and a half inches tall. The pierced serpentine gallery rail has cutout grab handles at either end and the plateau is beautifully chased with a classic rococo pattern of scrolls and foliage surrounding a blank central cartouche. The tray is raised up on four shell feet for that extra touch of grandeur. Offered for sale in excellent vintage condition with no plate loss or damage. It sits perfectly flat – no wobble – and the surface shows minimal signs of use, just a few fine scratches and age spots.
