A magnificent vintage English silver plated (on copper) gallery tray. Perfect for serving afternoon tea or pre-dinner drinks – all you need is a butler to carry it into your elegant drawing room! Oval in shape and measuring 18×12 inches. The pierced gallery rail has cutout grab handles at either end and the plateau is beautifully chased with a classic rococo pattern of scrolls surrounding a blank central cartouche. The tray stands on four scale feet with anti-scratch pads attached to each. Very solid and weighty. Offered for sale in superb vintage condition. It sits perfectly flat and the surface shows hardly any signs of use – the plate is still bright and gleaming like the day it was made! A magnificent vintage English silver plated gallery tray made in Sheffield. Perfect for serving afternoon tea or pre-dinner drinks – all you need is a butler to carry it into your elegant drawing room! Oblong in shape, measuring just over 18 x 12 inches (22 inches including the handles) and standing 2 1/4 inches tall on four ball & claw feet. The pierced gallery rail has gadrooned handles attached to each short side and the plateau is beautifully chased with a classic rococo pattern of scrolls, flowers and foliage surrounding a blank central cartouche. Offered for sale in excellent vintage condition with no plate loss or damage, just minimal signs of use and some fine scratches. This stylish silver plated cocktail tray which dates from the first half of the 20th century is made by top silversmith Mappin & Webb, has a wonderful Art Deco design, incorporates two sturdy handles to the ends and is a very nice size to go with a cocktail set. A lovely English silver plated gallery tray made in Sheffield. Perfect for serving afternoon tea or pre-dinner drinks – all you need is a butler to carry it into your drawing room! Oval in shape, measuring 18 x 12 inches and standing roughly two and a half inches tall. The pierced rise-and-fall gallery rail has cutout grab handles at either end and the plateau is beautifully chased with a classic rococo pattern of scrolls and foliage. The tray is raised up on four ball & claw feet for that extra touch of grandeur. Offered for sale in very good vintage condition with no plate loss. It sits well and the surface shows the usual light scratches from use/polishing and some minor dents to the gallery – see photographs. The join in the rail is visible (see photo 7) but still very secure. Freshly cleaned and polished to a high shine. Will be very well packed.
