Presented for your consideration is this gorgeous antique micro-beaded purse. On both sides of the purse is a brown and white bulldog sitting among blue flowers and roses. The dog has intricate features which include the rolls of his fur, speckled nose, black eyes and mouth with a somber-esque look on his face making this dog extra adorable. Framing the dog is a half wreath of roses with blue flowers at the edge. The leaves of the flowers have mixed colors of gold, brown and various shades of green. The floral pattern and dog sit against a light grey background. Beautiful, intricate detailing is present throughout the beadwork of the purse. Along the bottom edge is a black, green, light grey and red looped fringe and a silverplate frame is along the top. The framework of the purse features a very detailed floral design throughout with a kissing clasp in the center of the top and a chain link handle/strap. The purse easily opens and closes. Interior of the purse is lined with tan colored suede. Surprisingly there are no markings to indicate a maker despite the high quality of the purse. Gorgeous craftsmanship is present throughout the purse. This very hard to find beaded purse would make a great addition to any vintage or antique clothing accessory collection! A great gift for anyone who loves bulldogs! One small area of beads are loose on the back of the purse, near the top and another small area of beads are loose in the same place on the opposite side. One single bead is missing near the bottom as well. Otherwise the beadwork is in great shape and secure. Light frame and interior wear from age and use. The purse will close but does not stay that way, opens about 1/8 when held onto by the strap, looks like a little bending of the clasp would correct this. Overall in VERY GOOD condition.
