Vintage Antique Pair Of 12 VIctorian Silver Plate CANDELABRAS – WM Rogers & Son. Stunning pair of antique silver plate candelabras with intricate Victorian detail. They stand 12.5 tall. Tops can be removed to use as single, stand alone candle holders. They are sturdy, weighing around four pounds each. Overall shape is very nice. Ive taken pictures of each from various angles to give a true representation of quality and condition. Picture #5 shows that previous owner may have had a repair done as there is a putty type substance under one of the candle holders. Beautiful addition to your antique decor. Vintage Reed & Barton 1795E Winthrop Shield Coffee / Tea Pot Creamer Sugar
This handsome silverplate coffee/tea pot, sugar and creamer is Reed & Barton’s 1795E Winthrop Shield. It’s sometimes called the pumpkin pattern because of the finials. The pot is 13 inches tall and about 11 inches high and inches from handle to spout. The sugar is 8 1/4 inches high and 8 inches from handle to handle. The creamer is 7 1/2 inches high at the handle and 5 1/2 inches from handle to spout. The set was neglected for many years but little used. It polished up very quickly and easily, but could use some more careful polishing on the ornate areas. There are no dents or scratches, and no monograms. Vintage BUTLINS Hotel Silver Plate Coffee Pot GRAND BAHAMAS HOTEL with Certificate
This is a wonderful and interesting piece of Hotel Silver. According to the certificate that came with the piece this was found in storage in the Bahamas after many years. Comes with a certificate telling the story of this piece. I have photographed it so you can read it. In preowned condition with light signs of wear including surface scratches. And a small indentation which I tried to photograph. (See first and last photos) The lid hinge is tight and the interior is in tact. Great design as the lid is fully opened the finial sits in the cutout on the handle. Comes from an old Dallas estate. Measures approximately 7.25″ tall x 6.75″ spout to handle. Fully hallmarked with Christofle and Gallia France, It is in a very tight basket weave (vannerie, basketry). Along with the specific symbol for the Gallia products made between 1935 and 1983. Vintage Danish Cohr Riberhus Silver Plate Cutlery Set 12 person Jacobsen
Vintage Danish Carl M Cohr Gense Riberhus Silver Plate Cutlery set for 12. Beautiful set is in very good condition. There are 12 hollow handle dinner knives, 12 hollow handle entree knives, 12 dinner forks, 12 entree forks, 12 dessert spoons, 12 Continental soup spoons or tablespoons, 12 teaspoons, a large serving fork, 2 small serving forks, large cake knife, a gravy/sauce ladle, a bottle opener, a salt spoon, a cake server and various serving spoons. There are 94 pieces. The entree knives are a rarity. The pieces are in the design called Riberhus and features a single flower design to the finial with further decorations to the handles and scrolls to the backs. Jacobsen designed the pattern in the 1930’s but due to the start of WW2 the drawings were stored and the pattern finally released in the 1950’s. It became a success and the pattern is still very popular today with its timeless design. The silver plated pieces are marked to the backs Cohr Atla and have the Danish silver plate quality torch mark used since 1932. Some of the knife blades are also marked for Cohr, others are marked Raadvad and all are marked stainless steel Denmark. The set would date to around the 1950’s. Cohr silver was one of the more highly regarded silver workshops in Denmark finally closing its doors in 1987. Along with a few other Corh patterns Gense now produces Riberhus cutlery. The silver plating to the pieces is bright, reflective and shiny. There is no flaking, corrosion, pitting or wear to the silver plating. Even the fork tines show no wear through to the plating. There are very fine scratches from use. The high quality of Cohr cutlery shows in the way this set presents after so many years. I find the plating on Danish cutlery far superior to most English and Australian sets of a similar era. This is a beautiful and stylish setting. The set weighs over 5 kilos. For Imperial measurement users a handy guide is 25mm or 2.5cm is a little less than 1 inch, so 100mm or 10cm is just less than 4 inches.
