This vintage FE Olds Mendez trumpet is from the private collection of esteemed jazz trumpeter Ryan Kisor. As a native to Sioux City, IA, it has been a privilege to serve Ryan and his family for many years. We consider it a great honor to offer several items of his personal collection for sale on our Reverb page. Overall, this instrument is in great condition. The serial number, 281296, dates it to 1958. Cosmetically, it the silver plating is in mint condition. The deluxe bell engraving is crisp and clear. The valves are quick and slides are smooth. Compression is great, age considered, and the horn plays nicely. The valve plating is in good condition, with minor staining, and all serial numbers match. The first valve trigger is loose and, although it doesn’t greatly affect functionality, should be resoldered / replaced. Aside from that, this is a great playing condition horn and has plenty of life left to give. If you want to see a picture of anything specific or have any questions at all, do not hesitate to ask. Vintage Silver Plated Yamaha YTR-739T Professional Trumpet. This is a trumpet any professional will cherish. The blow is so easy and free and the sound is extremely open and rich with complex colors. The valves are smooth and fast with strong compressional and all the slides a free and functional. It is a trumpet you will feel proud to take out of the case. The silver plating is beautiful. There are no dents or concerns. There are a few ting pings and there is a little solder where one of the braces was reinforce. The trumpet looks more like a new horn than one that is forty years old. 1972 Schilke B2 Silver Plated Professional Trumpet with Original Case. This is a trumpet that is very efficient. The blow is very easy and free and the sound is brilliantly warm with a wide colorful sound. The slides are free and functional and the valves are light and quick. Included is the original case which shows wear but is structurally sound with working latches and a solid handle. Cosmetic blemishes include a few small spots of fading silver, a few light pings and normal wear. The brace near the finger ring was re-soldered. Most of the silver plating is intact and nice. There are no large dents and this is a trumpet you can feel proud to take out of the case. Vintage Mount Vernon Bach Stradivarius Trumpet 1961 Silver Plated Gold Wash Bell

Here is a Vintage, very Rare and extraordinary 1961 Vincent Bach Corp Mt Vernon NY Stradivarius, Trumpet! The year was 1953, and the owner/founder. Vincenz Schrotenbach aka Vincent Bach moved his factory from the Bronx NY facility, upstate to its new location in Mt. This would become the sole manufacturing site of these amazing Trumpets through, 1965. So, why are these Trumpets so special that they almost never come to the marketplace for sale? The reasons are many and varied in importance, but when you bake in all of these characteristics into their manufacturing process, they created one of the most sought after Trumpets worldwide for these last 67 years! The Mt Vernon Bachs #37 (which this is) has one-piece, hand-hammered yellow brass bell found on instruments of a quality that can only be attained through the collective experience of nearly a century of specially-trained Bach craftsmen. This bell creates a unique timbre of warmth, tone, and projection that has made this Trumpet a modern-day legend. This technique allows the bell to vibrate without constriction, allowing for the clear and resonant sound that Bach is known for! The Mt Vernon Stradivarius trumpets also incorporated a one-piece valve casing made from yellow brass. This allows the valve pistons to be aligned more easily and tightly than on multiple piece constructed models. It also greatly reduces internal wear on the horn. It also features a Bach #25 lead pipe and has a. 459 Medium-Large Bore, which creates the perfect amount of airflow and resistance while maintaining an even, centered tone. 459, thus the bell is a #37, although none of the Stradivarius models in the Mt. Vernon era were stamped on the bell. As you can easily see this Trumpet has been meticulously refurbished to a state of better than its original condition if that is possible! This horn was dis-assembled, given multiple sonic baths and all defects were corrected including some very minor dent work. The valves are fast and full of action and the sound that this Trumpet produces is a lost commodity from another time. Lastly the Trumpet was treated to brand new silver plating, and a Gold Wash in the inner bell. It is absolutely gorgeous and performs even better than it looks For a 59-year-old Legendary Trumpetthis is an absolute gem! It comes with a case which latches well but may take a finger nail to open, not the original, and several mouthpieces. Functionality & Investment Value… This one has both… And so very much more! Vintage Excellent Benge CG Claude Gordon LA Trumpet Silver Plated With Bach Case

Vintage Excellent Benge CG Claude Gordon Trumpet Silver Plated With Bach Case. Has CG stamped on brace coming out of first casing and on the 2nd valve. Horn made in earlier stages of Los Angeles Benge company era #17xxx serial range. Claude Gordon was a famous trumpet player and educator who wrote few books on the development of trumpet playing / range and endurance as well as he led his own orchestras and was a soloist performer. Horn is in overall very good shape with complete silver finish. Found 3 dings one on bell pipe close to 2nd valve and one on the bottom of bell pipe above 1st slide finger saddle facing the floor and one in the bell flare facing the floor so hard to see. Also noticed that possibly there was a bell edge dent removed on the bottom edge which left small hair line hard to see. Noticed a bit of shallow wear on the bottom of 1st and 2nd pistons in single areas not around these pistons. It seems that it is a common issue on the vintage Benges but has no effect on the movement and it is only a very slight surface wear. It appears that previous owner changed top finger buttons for more modern Benge buttons with no pears present but secure for fingers and these go more into the button and create more secure grip. Horn also features 3rd slide amado water key added which is very useful to empty the 3rd slide water during playing. Horn sounds great and is recommended for a pro player. As I said earlier silver is in very good shape and there is no corrosion on the horn and / or leadpipe. Horn comes with vintage Bach case from the same era as the horn. These CG Benges do not come up for sale as often as other Benges. Vintage Olds Studio Silver Plate Trumpet From 1968

Serial # 620xxx (1968). Very nice overall condition and plays great. The only issue is that there is some pitting in the plating on the tuning slide and on the lead pipe – see photos. Other than the pitting, mentioned above, the original silver plate finish is intact and really shines nicely. Body is in very good con. FRENCH BESSON TRUMPET MADE BY KANSTUL serial# 1694. Note: trumpet case carrying handle is broken everything else works. This belonged to my dad. He was a professional jazz musician here in NC. He passed in 2014. This is one of his professional trumpets. The silver plate is worn off the top buttons on valves. He used it alot on gigs, city stages, street scenes etc. Comes as you see it. Valves keep lubed with “blue juice”. All valve slides work. Valves removed and wrapped up, labeled in order. Slides removed and wrapped up. Bubble put between trumpet pipes to minimum moving. Case will be put in the box with packing around it also. Ups charges weight vs size which ever is bigger. Light weight but size is larger. Signature required to accept.
