This is a nice and quite rare vintage Modernista “Jump Hour” pocket watch. A beautiful watch to collect, with a gold plated open face case, a guilloche engraved dial and fully functional manual wind movement. In “Jump Hour” watches the hour indication is in a digit format displayed via an aperture. Every hour the digit readout changes automatically offering a visually exciting event that is great to watch. The jump hour is definitely an eye catcher. RARE JUMP HOUR MODERNISTA GOLD PLATED ORIGINAL VINTAGE OPEN FACE POCKET WATCH. Original Modernista open face case. Diameter: 49.5 mm (1.95). Thickness: 14 mm (0.55). Hinged back with engine turned finish and a shield for monogramming. Signature: on the dustcover’ Modernista, Patent’ with beautiful engraved’Art Nouveau’ decoration. Modernista logo stamped inside the back cover. Reference number 17196 marked inside. Silver engine turned face. Jump hour system, hour aperture at 12 o’clock. Antique Open Sugar Spooner with 12 sterling spoons. Some people of asked if the castor is sterling. I don’t know. I can’t find a marking. It appears that some of the spoon holders may have been repaired, but does not show when sitting on counter. The entire castor is approx. The spoons are 5 1/2 long and marked sterling. I know the spoons are a special pattern, but I dont know what it is. The entire set is in very good antique condition. Due to the age, there may be minor imperfections.
