A vintage mechanical watch RAKETA “Antarctic” produced by “Petrodvorets Watch Plant”, Russia, approximately in the 1980s. Vintage retro watch, about 40 years old. Beautiful design: a glistering silver dial with black odd Arabic numerals, silver non-numeric hour marks with black inserts and black hands in a gold-plated case with a black insert around the dial (the “AU” mark is on its surface). Rotating bezel with the names of world cities, so different time zones can be set. 24 hour dial produced for people with a shift schedule, submariners and polar explorers – with the help of this watch they could understand the time of the day (day or night) and to set the beginning of the shift and to track its ending. New beautiful leather strap. Soviet 19 jewels 2623 mechanism (there’s the “SU” mark on it and the inscription “Made in the USSR” under the hands). TESTED by a professional master. The strap or the bracelet can be changed to another one of different color or type (if it’s any in stock). Accuracy is up to 1 min/day (2 days testing). The watch is in good condition, runs well. This is a nice and quite rare vintage Modernista “Jump Hour” pocket watch. A beautiful watch to collect, with a gold plated open face case, a guilloche engraved dial and fully functional manual wind movement. In “Jump Hour” watches the hour indication is in a digit format displayed via an aperture. Every hour the digit readout changes automatically offering a visually exciting event that is great to watch. The jump hour is definitely an eye catcher.
