These stork umbilical cord scissors would have been used by a midwife. Possibly German around the early 1900’s. The stork has an aesculapian snake wrapped around its neck and beak. It has 2 geckos on the bottom of the handle to allow the stork to stand. Most of these have a baby on the inside of the stork. This particular one does not. It does have a spot where it appears to have been filled in with the initials L. Pure speculation, but wonder if the baby was covered up? Measurements of the scissors are 5″ tall x 3 1/4″ wide. JunkDude Music is offering this vintage Weltklang Alto Saxophone. Made in Germany by the B&S Company. Structurally, it is in great condition. Original bright burnished silver plate finish is near 100%… The only wear on the upper thumb rest. There are no repairs and no dings. This saxophone has a G# trill key, high D# trill key, forked Eb trill key. While it may play the way it sits, most of the pads are original and should be replaced. This would make a great Winter project. With a good polish and a fresh set of pads, this should turn out to be a great alto saxophone. The vintage case may or may not be original. Stunning WMF Tea and Coffee Set. Oh how I wish I collected. This is a stunning WMF Art Nouveau Jugendstil coffee and tea service set. The set includes the lidded coffee pot, lidded teapot, lidded sugar and creamer pitcher. The set is done in a lovely elegant swirl pattern. Silverplate over white porcelain. Identity/Marks: All pieces, except lids, are marked with WMF and the following marks: creamer 0,20L; sugar base 0,20L; large coffee 1,30L and the squat teapot 0,85L. The’L’ looks more like a backwards’J’ though. The smallest piece is the 4 1/2″ tall and the largest (with lid) is 10 1/2″; this is a very heavy set, weighing all together 6 lb. Absolutely stunning condition, does not appear to have ever been used. I lightly polished the creamer so you could see the true beauty. ALWAYS review pictures closely as they are part of my description. This sterling silver tea and coffee set of 4 was manufactured by unidentified German maker with initials CP in rose pattern. The tea pot measures 8 tall (including cover) and 6 tall (excluding cover). The coffee pot measures 10 tall (including cover) and 8 tall (excluding cover). The sugar bowl measures 6-1/4 tall (including cover) and 4-1/4 tall (excluding cover). The creamer measures 4-3/4 tall. Each item is marked: 925 Handarbeit sterling maker marks looks like CP crescent moon & crown. This vintage pre-owned set was loved and used a lot. This set is in good condition with normal amounts of surface scratching and original patina on surface and inside each item. Two legs of the coffee pot have uneven length.
