A very beautiful & well made vintage silver plated gallery tray. Oval, with a rise-and-fall top edge, chased plateau, blank central cartouche, pierced gallery rail with cut-out handles and standing on four ball-and-claw feet. Really lovely quality – sturdy and strong. It measures 18 x 12 inches – a large, generous size. Freshly polished and ready to use. Offered for sale in excellent vintage condition. The plate is bright and gleaming, like a mirror. Obviously, it has some age and will have been used so there are minimal signs of age and use, e. Light scratches, but nothing of any note. A beautiful, well made vintage silver plated gallery tray made by Cavalier. Oval, with an elaborately chased surface, blank central cartouche, gallery rail with pointed arches, side handles with central shell motifs and standing on four bun feet. Really good quality – very sturdy and strong. The overall width from handle to handle is just over 22 1/2 inches (19 inches excluding the handles) by a depth of 12 1/4 inches. A rather lovely example of a goodly sized tray, large enough for a variety of potential uses. Offered for sale in excellent vintage condition. The plate is bright and gleaming, like a mirror. Obviously, it has some age and will have been used so there are minimal signs of both age and use, including some tiny black specks here and there and some light surface scratches, but nothing of any note. Even so, please be realistic as it is old, not new – inspect the photographs and if in doubt, please ask. The bottom is faintly penned with a previous owner’s surname and post code. This oval 16 reticulated gallery tray is perfect for the fancy party or the cozy get together. This tray will serve well with tea, lunch or drinks. The tray has a nice reticulated edge that comes up to a ribbed edge. The bottom has a nice scrolled pattern that is clean and free from scratches. There is no plate loss. Actually it is 22-1/2″ Long X 16-1/2″ deep, footed with large engraved center medallion with monogram. Engraved on the back of the tray is “Mother and Daddy Twenty fifth wedding anniversary August 29Th 1953 from your children”. On the front is the monogram of the family initials and also engraved.
