A magnificent vintage English silver plated (on copper) gallery tray. Perfect for serving afternoon tea or pre-dinner drinks – all you need is a butler to carry it into your elegant drawing room! Oval in shape and measuring 18×12 inches. The pierced gallery rail has cutout grab handles at either end and the plateau is beautifully chased with a classic rococo pattern of scrolls surrounding a blank central cartouche. The tray stands on four scale feet with anti-scratch pads attached to each. Very solid and weighty. Offered for sale in superb vintage condition. It sits perfectly flat and the surface shows hardly any signs of use – the plate is still bright and gleaming like the day it was made!
