Vintage Laurel Burch Articulating Isis Silver-Plate Earrings (Brand New). The goddess Isis, with a sun disc over her head and elaborate wings spread. Isis is a goddess in Egyptian mythology. She was known as the goddess of the moon. As goddess of life and magic. Protected women and children, and healed the sick. Closely linked to the throne, she was one of the greatest goddesses of Ancient Egypt. The revival earrings here are vintage stock from the 1970’s – they were designed by the late artist Laurel Burch and crafted by hand. These earrings were cast of silver plated brass and measure about 2 1/2 inches tall including ear wires. Vintage Stock – New In Original Packaging. Lines had a good run in the 60’s and 70’s. In 1980 Shashi switched focus to gemstone jewelry. These pieces were stashed away in the corner of our warehouse. Some 40 years later we’re trying to find homes for these beautiful designs.
