This vintage American Professional straight silver plated soprano saxophone is in excellent condition. American Professional is a stenciled instrument and were distributed by Lyon and Healy of Chicago. This particular saxophone was probably made by the Buescher Company around the period of 1910 to 1915. The serial number is 16554 with an L stamped just below the number. It has tapered tone holes. The saxophone has no dings or dents and shows very little wear. It was totally overhauled by Hauer Music here in Dayton, Ohio, including new pads, and has not been played since. There is NO mouthpiece or strap. Case is still usable, but has surface damage, and it also allows the saxophone to move inside when the case is closed.
