Just the case 34.80mm (Excluding the crown). Silver with golden arabic numerals, refinished (I presume). Original, gold plated, 5.35mm. New dark brown leather, stitched, with gold plated buckle (not original). Distance between lugs: 18mm. 23 centimeters = 9.05 inches approx. Something to keep in mind. Seiko Vintage Watch, Gold Plate, Chrono, 6139-6012, 1977, 100% Original, Rare

Hard to imagine a better example of this model from 1977. Condition for its 43 years of age it is 100% original. The glass shows some light scratches. The dial is “as new” with no sign of fading or aging. The case shows light signs of wear but no brassing on the top and sides, just a little underneath where worn against the skin. The case back shows little signs of wear but is personally engraved. The original two tone bracelet, shows some wear and is a little loose. Runs very well and keeps good time. Day and date function correctly and the quick change mechanism functions, as it should, by pressing the crown. The chronograph starts, stops and resets. Precisely back to zero every time with a good action. This watch is 43 years old but looks very good, It oozes “70’s” character and would sit proudly in any serious collection. It comes in a modern Seiko presentation box. Water resistance and accidental damage is not guaranteed. Vintage / Antique Ornate English Viners Alpha Plate (Silver Plated) Tea & Coffee Set. The set contains large tea and coffee pots plus the matching creamer & sugar bowl. Needs to be seen and handled to be fully appreciated. Viners is a United Kingdom brand of cutlery, kitchenware and dinnerware products, founded in 1901 in Sheffield, England by Adolphe Viener and his sons. By the 1960s, it had expanded to subsidiaries in Ireland, Australia and France. They were silversmiths who initially worked in traditional small workshops. The hallmark for Viners Ltd. Silver was registered to son Edward Viner: in 1932 it was E. V” with figures and in 1964, it was “EV with associated figures. One of the sons, Ruben Viner, became the driving force in the 20th century to expand the company. It manufactured stainless steel cutlery and other products. The firm prospered in the 1960s with a modern factory in Sheffield and subsidiaries in Ireland, France and Australia. From 1945, the cutlery industry in Sheffield began a slow decline, accelerated with the collapse of steel and other heavy industries. But, beginning in the mid-1970s, East Asian imports began to flood into the UK. The company started importing cutlery to finish and stamp Made in Sheffield. Loans for expansion were crippling the firm and they went bust in 1985. Ruben Viner had retired from the firm in 1980. The brand is now owned by Liverpool’s family-owned Rayware housewares group which, since 1975, the Rayware Group had acquired some of the UKs best known British brands including Mason Cash, Kilner, Typhoon, Price & Kensington, Ravenhead and Arthur Wood, as well as Viners. At Viners’ original Sheffield site, a DWP office block replaced the cutler’s head office, a tile warehouse took over part of what had been the company’s manufacturing area and a shopfitting firm used what had been its warehousing space.
