Antique VTG F B Rogers Silver Company 1883 Plated Coffee Urn Samovar 16 Tall. For your consideration is a silver plated coffee urn/Samovar. Made by FB Rogers Silver Company. Stamped on bottom with makers mark and number 1883. It is fully functional. It holds liquid and spigot does not leak. Condition: It is in good useable condition, but not perfect. We polished it for photos, but to make it perfect it would probably need a more another pass. I personally would use it as is. There is a dent on front right side next to base of handle. There is slight scuffing and signs of use. There remnants of polishing paste in the crevices. Spigot handle is a bit wobbly, but fully functional. This seems to be common with vintage pieces, because they loosen over time with use. Overall Review: I have used this piece myself. It’s always brought a certain elegance to my parties. No one has ever mentioned the ding. If you’re a perfectionist this piece may not be for you. If you don’t mind a little “history” you’ll be very pleased. It’s a spectacular piece, and ready to use. Size: The urn is 16 inches tall. It is 11 inches wide from handle to handle. It weighs 5 pounds five ounces. It’s nice and heavy which makes it easy to use. Inv: 15385-x 5.5.0 2 eb boxes.
