Some loss of plating to bezel and lugs. Dial has some discoloration, writing slightly faded on automatic. Plexi glass has been professionally polished minor surface scratching may remain. Up for sale is a Seamaster De Ville, Gold Plated, Manual Wind with a gold Omega signed crown, on a new brown crocodile leather strap. My favorite of the De Ville series from the 1960s-1970s are the 14k gold plated cases as it gives these watches a really luxurious, dressy, and elegant look, which was the aesthetic and goal of the Seamaster De Ville line. The combination of this watch along with the original box epitomizes vintage Omega watches from the’60s’70s. The dial of this watch looks even more exceptional when worn in the sun, as it really illuminates the entire dial and gold indices; dial is free of any scratches or debris and is in perfect condition. The caseback features a the signature Omega Hippocampus engraved in high detail. The watch also comes paired with a new brown crocodile leather strap, and complements the watch extremely well and really gives it a true vintage feel. This is a great example of a. Wema Suisse early flat pusher 40s WW2 era Landeron Calibre 48 hand winding chronograph The watch is in excellent condition as serviced , its winding and working perfectly keeping excellent time , however the chronograph function is sticking when the back is on , I. The back may be a replacement or part of the movement is a replacement. The chronograph function works when the back is off, albeit a bit stiff , its running fine and resetting to zero as it should. If you put a deeper back on it will be fine , this does not detract from the beauty of this watch , the watch still winds and works. Keeping excellent time and is fine to wear , the chrono will work with a deeper back I have been enjoying it as is its a beautiful looking timepiece with nice flared larger lugs and military style hands. I believe the German army used these , it may be a possibility that the back was changed to get rid of the markings but I cannot say for sure. Its a very nice practical watch with wonderful patina, the dial features twin, or multi. For both “Tachymeter & “Telemeter scales. It looks stunning its 34mm across or 36mm with the crown and 40mm across the lugs it comes on a nice 17mm black band & w. Ould make a lovely early Christmas present or birthday gift , a simply wonderful timepiece. This watch is serviced & working very well with a very clean movement, viewing is fine (with prior arrangement) , as is collection.
