Vintage Harrods Bead Pattern Silver Plated Canteen of Cutlery – 79 pieces. Originally an 8 place setting canteen but as there are two soup spoons, a tea spoon, a dessert knife & a table knife missing it is now really a 6 place setting set with spares. It may also be missing a steel. 2 Piece Carving set. Forks, Spoons and Fish Blades all marked “HARRODS EPNS A1″ (A1 indicates top quality silver plate). Knives have steel blades and are marked “HARRODS LONDON CUTLERS & SILVERSMITHS”. Contained within a Wooden Canteen with pullout tray (the base of the canteen is a composite wood). I have included a number of photos and these probably describe the item better than I can and form part of the description. Condition: A used set generally in a good condition. There is the odd mark and some scratching from use. All the knife blades are in a good condition. I have not found any wear to the plating but there is tarnishing/discolouration to most pieces so they would probably benefit from a light polish. I beleive that there are about 7 missing pieces but it still has enough pieces for 6 places. The box has some scratches and marks to the top and sides. The pictures show a missing divider which I do have and could be glued back in. The inside of the box appears quite clean. One of the handles that lifts the pull out tray has perished. The lined side wall around the edge has folded over in places. Please see photos including extra ones in the listing. Size: Box size 49.5cm x 36.5cm x 13.5cm, Total Weight 9.5kgs.
