Here is a VERY rare Benge, made by Elden in 1954. It is a Chicago Benge, assembled at the Burbank shop one year after the move from Chicago. It is ALL Chicago parts, including the bell, which has the staff logo (worn a bit), yet also has the Burbank address stamped underneath. Reportedly, there were only around 20 of these EVER made, because it is a Large bore. This is THE first Large bore made (assembled) at the Burbank facility. It was cleaned and replated at the Zig Kanstul factory less than 10 years ago. Zig did the work. Valves were also replated & fit. There was a first valve trigger (see pics of valves) that I had professionally removed, since it may not have been original…. For me, this allows for a more comfortable grip. I can send the trigger, if you desire to have it re-attached. The horn plays VERY free and easy… Even and smooth in all registers. Great intonation and perfect slotting. Serial #1705 designates a birth date of 1954. No case, no MP…. Just a GREAT vintage collectible! Those wishing to contact me….. Dave a t davecnorman d o t c o m……..
