Vintage SHERIDAN SILVER CO. 21 Inch Shell & Gadroon Rectangular Footed & Handled Waiter Tray. Made in the U. Measurements: The Silver Plated Tray measures 27 at the handles. The rectangular tray itself measures 21-5/8″ Length x 16-1/4″ Width. The Height is 1-3/4″ at the Tray Rim and 3-1/4″ at the Handles. It weighs almost 9 pounds! Description: Shells & Gadroon Border, Silver plate, Hollowware, Rectangular, Handles, Footed. Maker’s Marks: on the rear is “Crown-S-Shield” over “Silver on Copper”; this is the mark of the Sheridan Silver Co. Used from from 1946 until 1973. After 1973 the company became Sheridan Taunton Silversmiths Ltd. A division of Lenox, Inc. Condition: Light scratches exist, typical of previously used silver plated trays. A good silver polish will clean this up nicely.

For your consideration is this vintage silverplate serving tray by Webster Wilcox International Silver Co. It is the “Shell & Scroll Webster Wilcox IS International Silver Co #2882″ and marked as such. The tray has a floral and swag design around the rim, handles and feet. It measures approximately 29 3/4″ handle to handle, 24 3/4″ without handles x 19 1/2 widest. Very good vintage condition, the silver plating is still strong (not showing copper), there are some minor scratches from use. Please look at the photos for further description. This oval gallery tray which is made of a dark wood has a central shell inlay design, silver plated gallery, ball feet and handles. This stylish cocktail / drinks tray that dates from the early 20th century and is a very nice usable antique piece. Ideal tray to display your cocktail accessories on and also looks great on display. Date: Early 20th century. Dimensions: Length including handles: 60 cm (23 1/2). Width: 35 cm (13 3/4). Height to top of gallery: 5 cm (2). Condition: Very good antique condition with light signs of use in keeping with age. Some light wear to silver plate, surface scratches and marks.
