There are—12 knives—12 forks–12 salad or dessert forks—-12 round soup spoons—23 teaspoons. 1 slotted serving spoon—–1 serving spoon—1 sugar spoon and 1 butter knife. This set has been in the family since it was received new as a gift in 1957—it has been very gently used– there is minor scratching but no plate loss that I see—it is a wonderful set and has been lovingly cared for Our home is smoke and pet free and it has been kept in a drawer lined and separated with tarnish proof cloth All pieces except the knives are stamped Holmes & Edwards inlaid I S deepsilver (which means extra silver is applied to the areas that are most handled).
