This is the individual mark used on coin and silver spoons (Hartford, CT, 1825 – 1841). This mark continued to be used until 1976 in silverplated flatware. The bottom of the plate is inscribed with the (Eagle) WM. Rogers (Star) emblem 170.
Massive silver plate on copper tray. Remains in tarnished patina condition. The platter is in very good vintage condition. Some scratches from use in the surface.
