VINTAGE ORNATE SILVER PLATE FISH FLATWARE & SERVING PIECES 6 PLACE SET & CASE. This listing is for a vintage, ornate silver plate fish set complete with 2 serving pieces, 6 place settings, and the original wood case (front lock, no key, marked British Make). The wood case has a brass medallion plate on the cover (NO initials), lock mechanism on front (NO key), deep blue velvet lining, and the lid has padded light blue silk center that holds the large serving fork and knife with 2 slide clips. The box case is in very good condition, measures 13-1/2″ BY 9-5/8″ BY 2-3/8. Each piece (including the serving pieces) has an off-white celluloid handle, each knife has a fancy etched design one side of the blade, and each fork has a simple etched border design on front center. Each piece is marked with hallmark SSP LTD A, forks measure 7-1/8″ long, knives are 8-1/4″, serving knife is 11-1/4″ and the serving fork is 8-1/2″. VINTAGE ANTIQUE ENGLISH VICTORIAN SILVER PLATE FISH SERVING SET ORNATE HANDLES. A VERY NICE ANTIQUE VICTORIAN 2 PIECE SILVERPLATE FISH SERVING SET IN ESTATE FRESH UN-POLISHED CONDITION. VERY GOOD ORIGINAL CONDITION SHOWING SOME AGE APPROPRIATE WEAR. THE KNIFE IS 12-3/4 LONG. Thank you for your interest, please let me know if you have any questions or need more details. A stunning Martin Hall & Co. Silver plate fish serving set, 19th or early 20th century. Includes one (1) fish serving fork, approx. 9.75l and (1) fish serving knife, approx. Blades feature etched and pierced detailing, the knife being especially ornate with leafy vine and fish imagery. Handles feature twisted rope trims. Set’s in good/fair vintage condition, displaying wear consistent with age/use, including light surface scratching/rubbing and tarnish to the silver plate elements, a large split to the knife handle, and two small cracks with a large split to the fork handle – see pictures.
