The insert with recipes is silver plated. The cap, strainer and leather wrapped outer are all gold washed. Every single piece has a matching number 16. This is an old way to make sure the right parts are put together to go to market. Not gonna get that at a modern maker. Shaker has 4 pieces. Martini Shaker Measures 10 3/4h. I have owned this for quite a while now and the only part that seems to tarnish is the insert. This is a style of a dial a drink that I do not think lasted due to the leather wrap. The temptation to plunge it in to water was too much for some. The insert takes a little muscle to release. Be patient it will let loose. It is a handsome vintage masculine piece.
