Fine Antiques & Collectibles. Arts & Crafts Box. A gorgeous late 19th century Arts & Crafts and Art Nouveau style silver plated jewellery box set with an enamel panel. Note the lovely combination of the Arts & Crafts style of the legs and rivets and the box form along with the Nouveau style decorative details. The top has an enamel panel in strong flowing colours under a branch style detail. The box is brass with copper plating then further silver plating on top, where this has started to wear through it leaves the different tones of metal. The interior is wood lined and it would have been used for small and special pieces of jewellery, or of course anything else you would care to keep in it. It has a lock under it’s own decorative panel, this still works and it comes with the key as seen in the images. It is British in origin and of course it is very much in the Liberty style, the only marks are a cursive A and the number 2 stamped to the underside. This style of enamel and the legs are also in keeping with designs from the Glasgow School of Art and this item looks to have been influenced by this movement. Hinges are fine, lock working and key present. Enamel intact and in good order. Minor deformations to the feet. Some wear of the silver plate in places. Vintage Community Ascot Tea Pot Silver Plated Etched Victorian Etched Design

This is for a lovely Vintage Community Tea pot by Oneida. It is in wonderful condition and has lovely Victorian feel etching design on the sides of the piece along with decorations of flowers on the spout, rim and feet. This piece measures: 4 7/8 inches tall to the top of the pot and to top of the lid it measures 7 inches tall x 10.75 wide x 6.25 inches deep. This piece is in wonderful condition. At time of listing I have other Community pieces listed. I may or may not know details but do spend time researching information to provide details the best I can and to pass along fair prices. I take all my own pictures in my home and as such try and get all the colors as true to correct as possible. 12 piece Antique Sterling Silver Plate Fish Cutlery Ornate Sea Monster Design #2

Antique Sterling Silver Plate Fish Cutlery Set for 6 #2. This beautiful set for 6 people is in very good condition. The pieces are simply marked Sterling Plate. Both the knives and the forks have hollow handles with rounded ends and a simple double line outline design terminating in a widows peak detail at the end of the handle. The silver plated blades and fork tine sections are ornately engraved with a sea monster motif which curls under the tines on the forks and spreads out along the length of the blades. The plating is in extremely good condition and the only faults we can find are small spots of plate loss to the very edges of the blades and to one side of the fork section at the base of the upward curve toward the tines. We believe this is most likely caused by the set being held together with rubber bands. The rubber reacts with the silver and small spot loss occurs. These spots are small, minor and occur in unobtrusive places. We describe them but more often that not people don’t even notice this type of silver loss. There are no dents or corrosion spots or deep scratches. There are very fine usage marks and the pieces have a lovely patina only age and gentle use can give. The knives measure 210mm long and the forks 200mm long. A handy guide is 25mm or 2.5cm is a little less than 1 inch, so 100mm or 10cm is just less than 4 inches.
