This is a gorgeous authentic vintage fine dining, flatware set. This is a large set of antique 1847 Rogers Bros silver plated silverware. It is in the original box. The box has scratches and wood nicks… It shows signs of wear. The silverware is gorgeous and just needs to be cleaned to remove tarnish but they are gorgeous and it amazing condition. Condition- antique but likely never used. These were handed down to me from family and have been in storage. This is a set of silver gilt coffee spoons. Hallmarked in London in 1974. The handles are guilloche enamel in a variety of colours. The spoons are in their original box. It is an 8 place setting , with table knives and forks – dessert knives and forks – fish knives and forks – dessert spoons – soup spoons – tea spoons – coffee spoons , items are marked with GEORGE BUTLER BS 5577 SHEFFIELD ENGLAND A1 EPNS NONE STAIN. There are 8 Table Knives – 8 Dessert Knives – 7 Table Forks – 8 Dessert Knives – 9 Dessert Forks – 8 Fish Knives – 7 Fish Forks – 8 Dessert Spoons – 8 Soup Spoons – 8 Tea Spoons – 8 Coffee Spoons. Condition: Absolutely gleaming silver, very minor surface use marks, one very small knock to the base of dish from underside which is hardly noticeable and a minor area of scuffing to underside of rim at one end only. Beautiful silver plated canteen for 6 people in its original dark wood box. The pieces are made in ornate King’s Pattern and will make a great addition to any special event. 6 table knives – 24 cm long. 6 table forks – 20 cm long. 18 cm long. 6 dessert knives – 21.5. 6 dessert forks – 18 cm long. 6 dessert spoons – 17.5 cm long. 6 teaspoons – 13.5 cm long. 2 large serving spoons – 22 cm long. Wear to box; some light scuffing commensurate with use; one tablespoon has scuffed bowl; 3 teaspoons have tiny wear to silvering on reverse. Most pieces are by the same maker, but there are few pieces by a different company. If you’re interested in vintage, particularly silver and silver plate – add me to your followed sellers and be the first to know when I list new items! All my silver and silver plated items have been given a quick polish with. Which are advertised as plating solutions. Whilst they wont silver plate your copper (contrary to what they may claim), I do recommend them for taking care of silver plated items in particular, as they wont strip off the thin silver layer, unlike silver cleaning products.
