Much of Boulenger flatware is silver plated, and is of a high quality, so much so the firm was acquired by Christofle some time after 1938. The goldsmith’s house was founded in 1810 in Paris under the name of Hautin, and continued by the nephew of the founder Adolphe Boulenger who gave it the name of A. Boulenger & Cie, 4 rue du Vert Bois in Paris. On his death in 1898, his son Charles Boulenger succeeded him and the goldsmith’s house took the name of Ch.
