Absolutely stunning 1950’s Community. “Evening Star” service for 8 Vintage flatware. 63 piece silver plate set. Includes the uniquely decorative original Lucite chest with it’s scrolled clear lid handle and curly-cue feet plus a lovely Pink velour lining. Includes the original “Community The Finest Silverplate Guarantee” booklet AND the Wedding Gift Card from the bride’s parents. 8 Knives with Stainless blades. 2 Large Serving Spoons. A little history: Oneida is the parent company of Community. They started production of Silver-plated flatware and holloware in 1899 using the “Community Plate” mark. Chest measures 17 inches long x 12 inches deep x 4 1/2 inches high. The inside Pink Velour cloth lining is pristine! The case is sturdy, opens and closes easily. The feet are secure. The handle has what looks like a small chip on the inside lip by one screw. There are a couple of paint flecks on the exterior and a few minor scratches consistent with age. 63 pieces in case weighs 11 lbs on it’s own. Rance coverage is mandatory.
