Vintage Thanjavur Art Plate-Ganesh Tanjore Plate Silver Copper Brass Shield 14. 14 Thanjavur/Tanjore Art Shield Plate with beautiful deep ruby red velvet case. Thanjavur/Tanjore Art Shield Plate consists of three components: the base plate (Brass), a circular plate of metals with primary relief Gods/ Goddess in Pure Silver. 916, and the secondary relief Flowery design made using Copper and Pure Silver. Thanjavur Art Plate was introduced by Rajah Serfoji-II during the Maratha rule in Thanjavur. It was made as an exclusive gift item by the artisans of Thanjavur at the suggestion of the King. Antiques and Pre-Owned items are perfectly imperfect. There may be some wear as can be expected with vintage, antique and items of age. Please look at all photos carefully.
