Reed & Barton Vintage Silver Plate 22″ x 15″ Victorian Oval Scrolled Waiter’s Tray is in good to very good vintage condition. This tray is in an impressive design with powerful scrolling and a weight of nearly six pounds. Its style is Victorian and its pattern is Victorian. It has an interesting and useful plexiglass insert that fits perfectly. Both the tray and insert are lightly scratched. Small areas on the underside of the rim show some silver plate erosion. Curiously, the inscription on the tray’s back is engraved not with the recipient’s name, but the gifters’ names and a 1949 date. The estate that was holding this tray did store the piece with care.
