WHAT A FABULOUS ANTIQUE HALLMARKED GEORGE III/WILLIAM IV MATCHED PAIR OF ENGLISH SILVER MEAT PLATES. IT IS OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY. And of a good weight and very special being in such fine order. A quite fabulous early 19th Century hallmarked silver pair of items. It has a most attractive shape. One is dated 1807 and by top makers William Burwash and Richard Sibley. The other is dated 1836 and by rare makers Thomas Mitchell, James Burden and Thomas Merrifield. Each is a wonderful oval meat plate (refer to image). Each is 16 inches in width. Depth is 11 inches. Height is 0.75 inch. A wonderful set of highly unusual meat plates. Definitely one for the collectors! A truly special antique lot well worth owning. The condition is excellent and all it needs is to be used. Each is engraved with a divine armorial and always has been. Would make a very nice present indeed. Each lovely platter is of exceptional quality and is a most delightful piece of hefty table silver. In fact, we have another six to match retained in stock, should a straight dozen be required. These six plates are numbered from “1” to “6” on the reverse sides adjacent to the hallmarks. Made at the height of the Regency period in the prevalent style of the period, these Georgian dinner plates are as good as you will find. They have a fabulous feeling of high quality in the hand and are decorated with a gadroon border around the circular wavy edge. With the Battle of Waterloo taking place in 1815, it was an important year in British history and Paul Storr managed a busy silversmithing workshop on behalf of the Royal Goldsmiths, Rundell, Bridge & Rundell. With a wealthy, aristocratic clientele, it is no great surprise to see these plates expertly engraved with a set of coat-of-arms to one side and a baron’s coronet to the opposing edge. $a£ Vintage Collect/play Legend Very Early Selmer Flugelhorn 4 Place Dancourt

LEGENDARY VERY EARLY SELMER FLUGELHORN 4 PLACE DANCOURT. PLESE READ DESCRIPTION IN FULL AND SEE ALL PHOTOS / ASK QUESTIONS IF YOU NEED ASSISTANCE? Limiting part of my horn collection otherwise this horn would not be here. Antique vintage Selmer 4 PLACE DANCOURT which is I believe the first location of Selmer company. This is almost 100 years old legendary Selmer flugelhorn and one of the first in production below serial #500 which is #433. Personally I have never seen one from this early era before and its possible that not many were made or survived since Selmer made more trumpets and saxophones. Horn is in good condition and still plays. NOTE: THIS HORN WAS COMPLETELY WASHED INSIDE OUT HOME METHOD WITH BRUSHES AND LIQUID SOAP WHEN I GOT IT. Valves plating is not bad but valves have leakeage due to age. Also has a couple of small patches like one around the pipe coming into 1st valve , brass correction of the leg of 1st slide and some soldering and possible also leg correction on the 2nd slide. 2nd slide was greased with heavier grease so it sits better and tighter in the slides pipes. PLEASE SEE ALL PHOTOS! The pipe coming out from 3rd valve has a crack not all the way where silver line is missing but I put a scotch tape to cover a leak and please see other area near water valve I did not put tape there dont see crack there but might be a hairline crack. You can put a tape there as well. If you wanna work on this flugel I recommend a brass patch going from 3rd valve area on the interior of that pipe towards bottom pipe brace which brass person could install? It all depends how much you will play? ! Or if its just for a collection? IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS PLEASE ASK AS SALE IS FINAL. Bell has small crease on top edge not all the way around but hard to notice. You can see it on bell photo. Engraving is crisp and silver plating appears to be original factory. Leadpipe appears to be original French taper. Compression is good / fair. Please notice bottom caps have bottom holes opened and one finger bottom is slightly smaller than other 2 but matches pretty well. There are few dings on the bell pipe around no major dents. Price is on the higher end due to historic nature as well as very early serial range. These two factors go together and it is a collectors item for sure and rare. NOTE : If you are looking for a perfect playing flugelhorn please go to my other listing and at the similar price range i have modern Schilke 1040FL but if you like a horn with a vintage charm then this Selmer js for you. Horn comes with very secure modern flugel case in which fits like in a glove. Case / gig case is sturdy and light and has handles and backpacks straps. NEED RESIDENCE OR BUSINESS ADDRESS. Antique Imperial Russian Faberge Diamond Silver 84 Gold Plate Snake Egg Pendant. An old antique silver gold plated egg pendant from the period of the Russian Empire. The egg was made by the jeweler of the Russian imperial court – Carl Faberge. It is marked with the Russian imperial silver hallmark. And the workmaster initials.
