Antique Wooden Light Oak & Silver Plated Tea Caddy – Atkin Bros. A very fancy tea caddy, engraved/chased lid, top and bottom of the box is decorated in raised garlands and it sits on 4 ball feet. Marked with the Atkins plated stamp “ABS” as well as “LL” an old mark used by this company. Condition: The box itself is structurally sound. The silver plating is tarnished or worn with scratches and marks. The area behind the hinge is really badly tarnished but it does come off to reveal a shiny metal underneath although this is not the case for the main part of the lid. Inside there is there is scratching. The shield has lost most of its plating. The front corners are very slightly bent over. There is no key and the lock is untested. Please also see photos.
