In amazing condition, this rare 60s Hermes silver vase is an astounding 8 in Height. Made of silvered metal and classic roped silver, this stunner is the most regal of accessories. It’s generously sized, and has a substantial weight to it. This is not a light piece. From its solid construction to its classic Hermes silhouette, it’s gorgeous on its own. Or it can be used to house an array of items. Any smudges you see can be easily polished out. Usually with a piece this old, there are sections of light graze scratches-not the case with this. Dating only from the last century no makers mark but “rescued” from a country house sale this Silver plated Epergne Table Centrepiece would look great in any setting be it Traditional Victorian or Contemporary. Standing almost 17″ high on 3 claw feet the 3 main supporting pillars also have claw feet and are topped with 3 birds of prey wings outstretched and linked with metal chains, the epergne is 6″ (15cm) across at the top. I have left it unpolished as this is currently very popular with silver items, but it would polish up nicely- no areas of loss No dents, scratches, or other condition flaws. A neat piece for American silverplate collectors it is a Epergne or a flower vase holder it was silver plated between 1886 to 1928 in Brooklyn NY. The very grand marks of castle, crown and prince-of-Wales feathers belongs to E. Webster and Son, of Brooklyn, New York, who were active from 1886 to 1928 under this name, though they continued on until the 1960s as “Webster-Wilcox”. I have a total of 5 pure silver vases, They have no markings but are thin and soft silver not plated that you see on it. They are chased with designs on the stems. The main part is plated and a lot of it has been polished off over the years might be a good candidate to get silver plated again. Or when it tarnishes again it will all match. The base is 5 1/2″ high with a 5″ base it is 8 high the way its photoed. The 5 silver vases weigh 3.8 oz. And base is 1 lbs 11 oz.
