Beautiful OMEGA GOLD PLATED vintage gents watch. We are happy to have in out store this beautiful and classic watch by Omega. Model 14713 dates to the early 1960’s and sports a round Gold Plated case with original Omega crown. Measures are 33 mm in diameter without the crown and 40 mm in total length. Press-in back signed inside’Omega Watch Co. Suisse, Swiss Made, Carrure-Lunette Plaque Or G, 20 Microns, Fond Acier Inoxydable, 14713-2′. Fitted with a 18 mm brown leather band and ready to be worn. Classic silver dial, professionally refinished and in beautiful condition. It includes golden hands, Index hour markers combined with Arabic numerals at the quarter hours, and a small crosshair seconds subdial. Signed’Omega’ with raised logo. Turn the crown to manually wind the watch. Omega Caliber 268 with 17 jewels and Incabloc. Signed’Omega, Swiss’ with serial number 17403364. This watch has been serviced and is working properly. This is a great example of a. Wema Suisse early flat pusher 40s WW2 era Landeron Calibre 48 hand winding chronograph The watch is in excellent condition as serviced , its winding and working perfectly keeping excellent time , however the chronograph function is sticking when the back is on , I. The back may be a replacement or part of the movement is a replacement. The chronograph function works when the back is off, albeit a bit stiff , its running fine and resetting to zero as it should. If you put a deeper back on it will be fine , this does not detract from the beauty of this watch , the watch still winds and works. Keeping excellent time and is fine to wear , the chrono will work with a deeper back I have been enjoying it as is its a beautiful looking timepiece with nice flared larger lugs and military style hands. I believe the German army used these , it may be a possibility that the back was changed to get rid of the markings but I cannot say for sure. Its a very nice practical watch with wonderful patina, the dial features twin, or multi. For both “Tachymeter & “Telemeter scales. It looks stunning its 34mm across or 36mm with the crown and 40mm across the lugs it comes on a nice 17mm black band & w. Ould make a lovely early Christmas present or birthday gift , a simply wonderful timepiece. This watch is serviced & working very well with a very clean movement, viewing is fine (with prior arrangement) , as is collection.
