An extremely sort after Omega Constellation Jumbo gold plated Automatic watch which features a date aperture. Fitted to a beautiful brown leather strap. The watch has been redialled to factory standard. The highly reliable automatic 565 Calibre movement has recently been serviced. The gold and black baton markers are a striking contrast on the silver dial. The back case has a refitted emblem which is discoloured. Servicing the movement requires detailed and precise work, the dial and the hands are removed along with the mechanism (which consist of over 100 parts). Prior to reassembling every part is pre-treated, thoroughly cleaned. Once the watch has been carefully assembled it is then placed onto a timing machine to examine the timekeeping, usually, there are several tweaks involved to ensure the timing keeping exceeds expectations. If paid before 2pm (Monday -Friday) we will despatch the same day. This is an excellent quality Smiths Astral Made in England sub seconds 15 jewels fantastic time warp watch mens vintage wrist watch. SMITHS ASTRAL ENGLISH MANUFACTURED WATCHES. WITH SMITHS THESE WERE A LINE OF WATCHES WITH CHEAPER FINISHES TO THE ESCAPEMENT COMPONENTS. THESE STARTED WITH THE CONVENTIONAL 15 AND 17 JEWEL MOVEMENTS. It has a metallic silver dial with Arabic numbering in black with lovely back hands also has sub seconds hand in back with textured back grown see photos fabulous design. The case is made of yellow gold plated and has a 15 jewels manual movement that says 15 jewels Made in England also has the number 66 on movement these are when smiths were all still made in England. The watch has a vintage leather strap which is 17mm wide you may want to fit a new one i like the vintage look myself but its old. It dates back to around the early 1960s or late 1950s? Please see our photographs as they are a large part of the description. 34mm case 36mm with crown 38mm lug to lug 9.5mm deep 17mm lugs. The case measures approx. 28.7mm wide (not including the tube) & 34.2mm long (including the lugs). This watch is about 90% complete. The watch has a good staff and runs when you shake it for a few seconds and stops. The original crown is include but still has the old stem lodged inside. Missing the crystal and hands. Also included in the lot is a spare movement. Has some sort of issue with the setting mechanism detent screw? What you see in the photos is what you get. Inside is a manually wound movement with a date complication at the upper left side of the dial. It is 30mm x 33mm lug to lug, and has a 20mm lug width. This watch is in great condition, with very little wear. It comes with a new black leather strap. The watch works, but timekeeping accuracy is not guaranteed. Right now it is running approx. Approximately 2 inches by 7/8 inches by 3 inches for the compact chain is 10 inches long. CONDITION: This is in Good as shown condition with some tarnish, the interior is missing part of lipstick holder, 2 compartments are empty however I believe that is where the makeup would go, and it could use a cleaning.
