INTRODUCTION : I bought this gorgeous silver plate flat wear with the intention of having the pieces that needed it re-plated. I never did so, therefore this silver has moved around with me countless times. It is a handsome pattern and sets a lovely table. PARTICULARS : “Romance I” by Holmes and Edwards was first manufactured in silver plate in 1925. Some of these pieces are monogrammed with a “B”, some are not. I use the term “worn” to mean the piece is losing its plating. The dinner forks and the vegetable serving spoon are the only pieces too worn to use and set a pretty table.
