Vintage BUTLINS Hotel Silver Plate Coffee Pot GRAND BAHAMAS HOTEL with Certificate

This is a wonderful and interesting piece of Hotel Silver. According to the certificate that came with the piece this was found in storage in the Bahamas after many years. Comes with a certificate telling the story of this piece. I have photographed it so you can read it. In preowned condition with light signs of wear including surface scratches. And a small indentation which I tried to photograph. (See first and last photos) The lid hinge is tight and the interior is in tact. Great design as the lid is fully opened the finial sits in the cutout on the handle. Comes from an old Dallas estate. Measures approximately 7.25″ tall x 6.75″ spout to handle. Vintage American Towle Silverplate 30 Waiter Tray Footed Chased Grand Duchess Double Handles. Oval form with double handles. Handles and rim have intricate scroll with with flowers floral detail. Nice engraving – no monogram in center. Substantial sideboard buffet , dining table , hunt breakfast , shower , catering , statement serving piece – exquisite and functional. See photos for detail of maker’s mark on underside. Approx : 30″ , including handles , x 20.25″. This tray weighs approximately 12.5 pounds! Handles and feet are secure. See photos for best details. Christofle Malmaison vintage silver plated tray. I believe made post 1980’s as the stamp looks to be the later variant. Stamped on both handles and on the tray itself. Tray measures 31.5 cms x 42 cms. 55 cms x 31.5 cms including handles and weighs 2.2 kilos. Silver plate over brass. Makers stamp on both handles and the tray itself. Condition Notes: The tray has usual fine scratches associated with usual wear, however there are deeper scratches in several areas but scratches not so deep that they have reached the underlying brass that the tray is made from. Please view the pictures carefully as there are several areas where this kind of scratching may be seen. There are also two light but visual dents to the base. Again I have tried to show these in pictures 1, 10 and 11. Also worth noting is slight ripple extending about 3 cms to the edge and loss to the plating to the edge seen in picture 12. This is a used vintage tray that has marks, please look at the images using the supersize facility. 99p with no reserve on the understanding it is bought as seen. This tray is very presentable still and will look better with further cleaning and polishing. Possibly a good candidate for refinishing the Silver Plating.
