Anitque Pair of Silver Plated Old Sheffield Telescopic Candlesticks Vtg Georgian

Anitque Pair of Silver Plated Old Sheffield Telescopic Candlesticks Vtg Georgian. Nice pair of old silver plated telescopic candlesticks. Believe to be Old Sheffield Plate Mid 19th century. 10″/25cm when extended and 7″/18cm when lowered. Sconce to fit 1/2.5cm candle. Green cloth to base. As common with old Sheffield pieces the sticks are not perfectly straight and have imperfections such as bends and knocks owing to their considerable age – please see pictures to assure yourself of condition of the pieces. Although matching in style and appearance the shoulder node is of a slightly different pattern having angle beads as opposed to straight beading. Plate is in very nice condition for age, with only slight rubbing mostly to the decorative aspects to reveal faint copper undertones. There is no obvious evidence of any repairs. One scone is removable the other is quite stiff and we didnt want to force owing to potentially damaging the item. Additionally one telescopic aspect is smooth action and the other a little stiff. This stunning pair of Dorothy Thorpe iconic pretzel design candlesticks is in good vintage condition. There are a few scratches on the bottom of one, nothing significant (see last picture). A very decorative pair of antique rococo style silver plated three arm candelabra decorated with a grape and vine. These stunning candelabra are in beautiful clean condition, solid and a good heavy weight. They are stamped to each base’Made in England Silver Plated’. Height 27 cm (10 1/2) approx. Width at widest part 28 cm (11) approx. Weight: 1563 g and 1529 g. Excellent vintage condition with a no loss of silver plating. Slight signs of wear in keeping with age. Condition: Very Good/Good (evidence of use/wear, no dents, loss of silver plate on one candlestick in two places as shown, the other has a weight loose inside the hollow body so it rattles when you pick it up and turn in over).
