Fantastic original Sutterley of Philadelphia silverplate coffee percolator. Ornate urn with beautiful patina. Shell-like decoration under side handles. Glass globe etched with “The Sternau Coffee Machine”. Stamped on bottom with “G T Sutterley & Co, Philad’a”. Other online examples of this coffee urn are stamped with 1904 however I can’t find that mark on this one. Measures approximately 16.5 tall. Excellent antique condition with no bends, dents or deep scratches. Well developed patina includes age discoloration, small marks and minor surface scratches. No chips to rims of glass globe. I did not try to brew coffee but tested the urn with water and it is watertight. Lever on spout controls flow. Some deterioration to metal of inside coffee grounds basket but mesh is intact. All sides of item are pictured. Please examine all pictures carefully as they are an important part of the description. Vintage items are decades old and therefore some age-related wear is to be expected.
