Vintage Conn Wonder Alto Saxophone. This is a saxophone any comeback player, advancing student or professional player should cherish. It is in really good condition and has a great sound and nice response. Cosmetically is is also nice. There are no large dents or concerns. The plating does have a little tarnish but both the silver plating and gold wash bell makes this a horn you will feel so proud to take out of the case. The pads are in very good condition and it is in good playing condition. Minor adjustments might be desired to meet you personal touch preferences, however generally good playing condition. Included is a vintage hard rubber mouthpiece and a formed case that shows wear but is structurally sound. Conn New Wonder Series 1 Tenor Sax Serial # 131252 (1924). This Conn New Wonder Tenor Sax is a recent trade-in item at Mike’s Music and Sound. The sax is in excellent condition and has been completely overhauled by our band department. The overhaul consists of a complete tear down of the horn; ultrasonic cleaning, polishing of all silver parts, replacing all pads and corks, along with needed needle spings. Vintage CG Conn New Wonder II’Chu Berry’ Alto Sax in Silver Plate Serial 204180. This is a nice Conn New Wonder II Chu Berry alto saxophone, serial number 204180. The Conn altos from this period are iconic items from the 1930’s big band era. This one is in good shape and has a good look about it as well. It showcases the original silver plate finish with gold wash bell flare, trill G#, finger nail file G# and the micro tuner neck. The micro tuner is functioning and free moving at this time. The physical condition of the body is excellent. Looking over it closely there is no history of major past repair. Its body tube, rolled tone holes, bow, bell and bell cap are all in great shape. This sax came into our shop on an old set of pads well past their prime and is not currently playing. We would love to do this thing up right but with the long line in our repair shop we need to let some inventory go in as is condition. As such we are offering this one at a lower price point. This sax is in great physical condition and could be a great pro player after a good cleaning and straight forward mechanical overhaul. Conn New Wonder C-Melody Series I Saxophone Silver-Plate. 8, 1914 that this is the Alto Model and was made sometime in the early 1920’s. The instrument itself shows some wear based on the age but there doesn’t appear to be any dents or dings and the instrument appears to be in playable condition. I do not know the service history of the piece or if any parts may have been replaced or modified. The finish looks ok but of course has some dull patina most likely from age. The sale includes the instrument with head stock, mouthpiece and original hard case just as pictured. The case shows wear to the inner lining from age but it works fine also.
