Buescher 740 true tone metal clarinet
This is a rare top of the range quality Bb Buescher vintage Professional quality metal clarinet that has been well looked after. A nice clean 1930 Bb Buescher True Tone 740 Silver Plated Metal Clarinet. I have very recently heard this Bb Buescher Clarinet played by a professional reed player and it has a nice full body tone throughout the 3+1/2 octave range from PP to FF. Excellent condition considering its age, no dings or damage, probably some light surface marks Some silver plate tarnishing on some of the more well used keys and an unusual bald patch of worn? Plating under the Bell. Engraving on the bell reads: THE BUESCHER ELKHART IND. Engraving on the body reads: TRUE TONE 740. Good clean mouthpiece unmarked with a good looking reed. The clarinet comes in its original case marked BUESCHER ELKHART IND. Green velvet lining, fair condition inside, outside a bit tatty with printed numbers, showing scuffs etc. And signs of wear but still useable. Vintage Buescher True Tone Tenor Saxophone Silver Plate (1925) Bundle
This is a beautiful vintage Buescher. Plays like a dream and holds the sound quality youd expect from a True Tone. Refurbishment is not necessary as I saw to an overhaul a couple years ago. Pads are still in great condition. There is one spring on a side key which would need to be replaced, however, all of the other springs are either new or working perfectly. The Saxophone comes with the formed Protec Tenor Case, a Protec 10 reed hard case, a lightly used Neotech Neck Strap, and two mouth pieces listed below. The First Mouthpiece is a Sigmund Rascher Classical mouthpiece. This is a beautiful sounding Mouthpiece, traditionally used for classical or orchestral purposes. The second mouthpiece is a Macsax FJ III. It is a brass mouthpiece platted in Rhodium. Is is one of my favorite mouthpieces of all time. It is a jazz mouthpiece that has a lot of bright tones and can be very loud if you need it to be. Both mouthpieces have been sanitized and will be ready to play when you receive them. Vintage Buescher True Tone Soprano Saxophone original silver plate
Vintage buescher soprano sax. This one is in OK condition, certainly seen better years. About 80% silver playing still in tact. It plays with the larger warm sound you would get from a buescher. Though it plays as is leak free, some pads are old and there are some tiny dings throughout, so you can run it through a shop to make sure it plays the best. Serial dates it to 1923, it’s Bechet’s number region. Comes with buescher case. More photos upon request. Most snap on resonators are intact. 95% of the original silver plate is still intact. It’s a little bit dirty though. A piece of silver cloth would get it mint again. Vintage Buescher Silver Plate True Tone Alto Sax Serial # 237xxx
Vintage Buescher Silver Plate True Tone Alto Sax – Serial # 237xxx. Vintage Buescher Silver Plate True Tone Alto Saxophone. This model is a series IV True Tone, just before the Aristocrat model – it’s a great vintage. The body and neck are in near perfect physical condition (hard to find even a ding); with no sign of any repair work. The only issue is a that the octave-arm on the neck is slightly bent (though this is minor – see photo of neck, below). The original finish is nearly all intact with virtually no wear, though there is a good amount tarnish. Two notes on the finish: 1 The gold plate in the bell is nearly all worn, so the inner bell only has silver-plating; 2 Some of the finish on the bell and body is dull (see photos), probably due to some earlier polishing, so a thorough polishing is needed to bring out the shine of the plating. The pads are very old and need to be changed, but the horn does play. The Buescher Snap-ins are all intact. The original mthpc is in good condition (needs cleaning). Original case is in very good condition, but the handle is broken; also, the case is a bit musty and needs to be aired and cleaned.
