Produced in relatively small numbers in the mid 1980’s and made exclusively for the German market this is the reference DL 345 0803 or Teutonic as it is often called. This example is the finished in Steel and gold plated with integral bracelet to match. The overall case size is just under 44 mm which gives this watch incredible wrist presence , but yet its slim case means it wears very well even under cuffs which cant be said for many modern large chronographs. The watch runs of the famous caliber 861 manual wind movement as found in the Speedmaster professional from 1969 onward. The unusual case design makes it stand apart from other Speedmasters but its pedigree for me means its a must in any serious collection whilst also being a great watch to wear daily.
