FINE GEORGIAN OLD SHEFFIELD PLATE RECTANGULAR WINE TRAY / SALVER WITH CAST AND APPLIED VINE LEAF AND GRAPE BUNCH BORDER. THERE IS A GRYPHON’S HEAD RAMPANT STAMPED ON THE UNDERSIDE. THIS IS IN LOVELY ANTIQUE CONDITION WITH SOME COPPER BLEEDING THROUGH THE OUTER SILVER SURFACE. THE SALVER SITS NICELY ON ITS FOUR FEET. THE SALVER WAS PROBABLY MADE c1830. 445mm (17 1/2″) X 280mm (11″) X 25mm (1). Quality Silver Plate EPNS Drinks Tray or Salver Made in England

This is a very stylish and quality bun footed silver plate (EPNS) drinks tray or salver with great looking scalloped rim. It is made by quality maker Barker Brother, England and you can se from the stamped pineapple mark. The tray is 27 cms in diameter sitting at a height of 2 cms on 3 bun feet. It is in overall good clean condition with the silver plate all in good order and it polishes to a very nice shine as you can see. There are several light scratches and swirl marks, as you can see from the images. Please do remember this is an old piece so do not expect it to look new. The images also form part of the description. This would make a lovely quality and unusual gift for someone, which can still be admired and enjoyed today. Any questions please do ask. SCOTTISH SILVER PLATED SALVER. A large late Victorian silver plated tray / salver of good heavy gauge by Hamilton & Inches. Of elaborate design with rococo foliate engraved detail and scalloped rim. The salver has a vacant cartouche (free of engraving) and stands upon three feet. The makers mark can be found on the rear. The company was founded by Sir Robert Inches and his uncle James Hamilton in 1866; their showroom and headquarters are on George Street, Edinburgh. The company holds a Royal warrant as Silversmiths and Clock Specialists to her Majesty The Queen. Date: late 19th Century. Condition: Fair functional condition. The salver has some plate loss, more noticeable on the underside, in particular the rim where some brass is exposed. Diameter: 36.9 cm (14-1/2). Height: 4.1 cm (1-5/8). Vintage Wallace Footed Silverplated 17 Salver Tray Elegant Ornate SIlver Plate

I don’t think this was used much and possibly never polished as it took quite a bit of elbow grease to get it to this condition! I was able to remove the sticker to polish & it had enough adhesive left to re-stick it! It is 17″ across at its widest, and about 1-1/4″ high. The feet are reticulated.
