Vintage 1981 Seiko D229-5010 LCD Digital Watch Case Palladium plating
Case back stamping is PDP ST. STEEL BACK” so based on the Seiko case material codes “Case subjected to bare Palladium plating. By the serial number, probably made in DEC 1981. It is possible to set the time, the 3 alarms, activate the buzzer / chime, start stop and reset the crono, set start stop the timer and the light is ok. The buzzer / chime also sounds and it is ok. When buttun 4 is pressed 3 seconds and lights all the segments the LCD is strong without any fault but when it runs normally it becomes a bit dim. Don’t know if it is a weak battery of if there is another issue. When the crown if pulled out to set the time, alarms or timer, if comes completely out with steam. Despite that still functional.
