WMF Magnificent Silver Plated Cranberry Crystal Glass Epergne Centrepiece c1886

Magnificent WMF Silver Plated Cranberry Crystal Glass Epergne Centerpiece. Dated : 1886 – 1894. Weight : 2.240 Grams approximately. Here we have a magnificent 4 piece cranberry crystal glass epergne centrepiece, its in amazing condition with all for of the crystal glass epergne in perfect condition, no damage whatsoever. It was made by WMF between 1886 and before 1894, it does have a stamp on the epergne holders NS, nickel silver, with the main WMF stamp situated on the underside of the base. It displays wonderfully and definitely has the look, this piece was made before the Art Nouveau period, however with such designs, its obvious where art nouveau had its inspiration. It does dismantle easily, with its main classical style frame unscrews from the base, each epergne holder also has a screw in fitting to the main frame, its a very sturdy and substantial piece. Its beautifully made, very intricate workmanship on the main frame and base, an absolutely piece from the makers WMF. Height : 58cm or 23 inches. Width : 33cm or 13 inches. Base Diameter : 17cm or 6.7 inches. Weight : 2.240 Grams. No dents or dints or nasty scratches, there is a little discolouration on the underside of the base, but very minimal. All threads (screw fitting) are perfect and without any play, base is straight and true, no wobbles. The crystal glass Epergne are all perfect, no nibbles , chips or cracks, even the fitting stems are undamaged. Amazing condition, especially a piece thats 140 years old approx. Magnificent WMF Art Nouveau Silver plated & Emerald Crystal Glass Fruit Stand Centrepiece. Fully Hallmarked, Running Ostrich (On Base). Here we have a very rare and exceptional WMF Art Nouveau, Silver plated fruit stand centrepiece complimented with a beautiful Emerald green cut crystal bowl. The crystal has four x three panel columns cut into the crystal (similar to Art Deco Odean pillars) plus three cut lines going around the bowl, absolutely beautiful and stylish, great craftsmanship. The base stands on four sculpted legs and a stunning fine embossed boarder which is beautifully crafted as you would expect from one of the worlds finest metalware companies, WMF. A very rare and usable beautiful antique in exceptional condition. 110 Years of age and would suit any interior style and looks stylish and wonderful. Height of Centrepiece : 26cm. Height of stand without Bowl : 17cm. Base diameter : 20.3cm. Weight : 1,280 Grams (over 2 kilo packed). Very little silver loss if any at all, No dents or dints , scratches or rubbing, the silver work is outstanding. Crystal Bowl has no chips, nibble, cracks, its how it should be. Very hard to find 7pc set with two pots, one tilting server with alcohol burner, creamer, sugar and waste bowl with a beautiful matching tray. Please note that the creamer has a significant dent as pictured and One of the coffee pots (shorter of the two footed)has a very small pinpoint dent which is very hard to see. The set measures as follows: the tray is a whopping 29″ long x 13″ wide, the tilting server is 15″ high measured on stand, the largest footed pot is 11″ high, the smallest is 10 1/4″ high, the creamer is 4 1/4″ high, sugar 6 1/2″high and waste bowl is 4″ high. The set weighs 25 lbs. Other than the dented creamer, this is truly a magnificent set in wonderful condition for age and ready for display or use! Thanks for stopping by!
