Here is a highly regarded and Vintage 1945-46 King? Trumpet, essentially the last year they were made? Having been around since the 1930? It is in the key of Bb/A, also featuring a highly engraved bell, the distinctive Art Deco? Its serial number is # 312863. By removing end piece of the first tuning slide, removing the middle section, then reinserting the end of the slide, you now have a? Originally founded by the. White Company was established in the late 1800? They subsequently created a new line of horns in the early – mid-1920? S naming it the? In 1965 the company was acquired by the. And the name changed to “King Musical Instruments”. Model was considered a Professional line of Trumpets and is still regarded in that mode today. It is beautiful, has a wonderful pitch, intonation and due to its construction? Can deliver a big Jazz sound! Some of the legends of Jazz used this horn, including Donald Byrd, Charlie Shavers? It was known to produce a very big vibrant tone! Further, as you can plainly see, this Trumpet has been re-done in every respect. Totally overhauled and superbly refinished. The process we use is as follows. Post inspection we thoroughly remediated any and all. Issues, including damaged parts that need repairing or replacement etc. It was put through it? S first of many? This is a process of intense cleaning, sanitizing, freeing stuck slides etc. ? Addressing literally every part of the interior of the instrument that normal cleaning cannot reach! Following these repairs, the horn was lightly buffed making the surface acceptance of its new finish, a given. Then it was put through its second? Then we apply a light cooper plating, followed by a completely new Silver plating. This Trumpet, for all practical purposes, is as good as new including a beautiful? Finish to the inner bell, new felts etc. Also of greatest importance is the fact that the valves on this Trumpet are, fast, tight and absolutely responsive in every range. Has a wonderful King trumpet sound, they just dont make them like this anymore! Slides and valves all move freely! Valves are nice and feel like butter. The plating on the body is in very good shape and only hard to see cosmetic blemishes and dings (we call this character) the inside of the bell has a really nice gold wash, please see pic for more details. The plating on the pistons have wear and at some point will need to be replated which is why we have this trumpet heavily discounted. Vintage King Liberty 1045S Trumpet, Silver Plated, Bb and A Tuning, 1950, NICE

King Liberty 1045S Trumpet, Silver Plated, Gold Wash Bell, Made in USA, Serviced & Ready. This is a beautiful silver plated King Liberty trumpet with a gold washed bell. Made in the USA in about 1950, serial number 308176, has an A and a Bb tuning slide with end crook. We have serviced the trumpet in our shop. It has been thoroughly hand cleaned, inspected, and all parts have been hand polished. When we received the trumpet the center brace was unattached, it has been soldered and it is secure now. All of the slides and valves are functioning properly and have all been lubricated. This trumpet has good compression and it plays nicely and sounds great! There are creases in the upper part of the bell tube (by the valves) from a previous dent removal, there is minor plating loss, the main tuning slide will stick to the retaining nut if it is pulled all the way to it, but if used properly, it doesn’t stick at all, there are minor dings, scratches and scrapes. Comes with a Bach hard case that is good/fair condition and a good condition Vincent Bach 7c mouthpiece. Please evaluate all of the pictures closely as they are part of the description and feel free to ask for more if needed. Careful and secure packing and boxing. Required signature when delivered. Very very nice original piece. Needs cleaned and polished. One of the finger valves does stick. There is a couple small dents and one of the welds did come apart. This Liberty Version II is an early example, with the German Silver piston material, that closely resembles contemporary Monel valves. Shortly after this one was made, H. Mouthpiece: Yes, HN White M-21. Case : Yes, original HN White made French style case. King Liberty Model No. 2B Trombone has crystal silver outside tube and sleeve. Inside slide is made of crystal silver surface hardened, with piston drawn on one slide with new perfected bore, improving the open tones in the closed position of slide. End bow is expanded to fit outside slide thus elimination connecting ferrules and reducing the weight and end of slide, making only two soldered joints in place of four. This new construction has eight less soft soldered joints.. It looks neater and is a beautiful piece of workmanship. The bore is very special-producing a finer tone and better intonation which is especially noticeable on tones in the closed position. The response is instantaneous and it plays much easier. The slide is so distinctive, it will immediately appeal to trombone players in both appearance and playing qualities. It is the first slide made with closed position tone so true and clear that is a revelation to trombonists when they first try it.
