This is an eye-catching piece which is in very good condition. The teapot is silver plated and made by Roberts & Co of Sheffield. It has a stunning, fairy tale pumpkin shaping with ridged around it’s circumference, each decorated with an elaborate, three dimensional design. The teapot has an ornate design and appearance, which is very attractive. The lid has broken off at the hinge, but it sits firmly in place and doesn’t appear as if has broken from the exterior. The lid has a three dimensional pumpkin to the top surrounded by decorative leaves. The handle and spout are also ornate, with elaborate scrolled shaping and design. The teapot stands on four, little cabriole legs. The silver plate has worn through time and acquired a strong patina, which enhances the appearance of this. There are some tiny holes in the silver plate, which are camouflaged by the patterns. It also looks as if the spout has had some repair work done to it at some point.
